Libertarian Spring Zoominar
Post date: Sep 06, 2020 10:17:0 AM
The tradition of Libertarian Spring Seminars has outlasted the apartheid government, the Berlin wall, Russian communism, and the twentieth century. We are about to add the Covid19 pandemic to that list.
This year’s seminar is being organised from France by Hugo Kruger. It will be profoundly different from past versions, but we hope to bring the same combination of camaraderie and clear thinking to the event. Like so much else in 2020, this will be an online, virtual event using modern technology and the internet.
The event will be hosted and moderated by some of South Africa's most prominent YouTubers, either on their own channel, or through our own (depending on the time and day of the week).
The event will be held from the 19th to the 24th of October 2020.
The structure will be 2x1 hours sessions per day for each day of the week (i.e. 10 sessions in total), running from 19:00 to 21:00,
and an in-person social event in each of the major South African cities on Saturday evening.
Attending will be as simple as following your favourite host on Youtube. Questions and audience reactions will be streamed to the speakers in real time. Of course the event will be available for later viewing as well. We are hoping to recruit some major international libertarian speakers, while also catering for our local libertarian faithful.
As we don’t intend to pay speakers for participation, there will be no charge to attend. Location is not an obstacle, and we hope to attract both an international as well as local audience.
